I am happy to announce that the USDA has finally made some changes to their requirements! Sadly, even puppy mill breeders can have a USDA license because the restrictions are not very detailed and they are rarely enforced. Hopefully, these new rules can change that and help save more dogs. (Click title to read more!)

There have been lots of news stories about another dog testing positive in the United States. I want to share the information that I know about it so that dog parents can be aware, but remember, there’s no need to panic. I just feel that it’s better to know what’s going on than to ignore it. It’s disgusting to think that dog meat is even a thing in this world, but in China, many dogs are sold for the dog meat trade. About 10 million dogs each year die because of these horrible operations. Dogs of all breeds are killed for meat in China, and many of them are tortured before their death. With so many humans getting COVID-19, there just aren’t enough tests for everyone! Luckily, dogs might be able to provide a solution for this problem. Dogs have been known to sniff out different human health concerns such as cancer and low blood sugar, so scientists are currently looking to see if these pups can also smell the coronavirus.
