Hi, my name is Suzyn Pupman, but you can call me Suzy for short. I have an interesting and heartwarming rescue story that Mabel thought I should share with you!
I used to be a stray dog with no one to love me. I wandered the streets, looking for a warm place to rest. One day, I got lucky and found a home with a door that had been left open. I knew the family probably just forgot to close it, but I didn’t have any other option.

I went inside the house for shelter, and it was so comfortable! But little did I know, a neighbor noticed the open door and kindly closed it for the family. He had no idea that I was inside!
I was sick, hungry, and incredibly skinny. So, it felt good to finally have a cozy place to rest. However, when the family woke up, they were shocked to see me inside when there were no open doors. Instead of kicking me out, they decided to help me.
They took me to the vet to assess my medical concerns. I was in rough shape, so I had a lot of healing to do. I only weighed 19 pounds, but I was supposed to be 35 to 40! They also estimated that I was about 9 years old.

The family quickly fell in love with me, so they decided to adopt me. They even made me social media pages where I can post cute photos of myself and encourage others to adopt dogs.
Many kind humans helped raise money for my recovery. In fact, they raised even more than I needed, so my family donated the rest to other families who have adopted dogs.
I was such a pleasant surprise for my loving family, and I hope other humans and dogs can feel the excitement of adoption. It really does change lives! I know this because it changed mine.
