Mabel the Rescue Dog

Hi everyone, it’s Mabel! I just wanted to share an update after my post about moving across the country. I am happily settled in my house in Wisconsin now, and I love it! I knew I would like the extra space and the fenced-in yard, but it’s even better than I could’ve dreamed of.

I’m not going to lie, the trip here was super long. We sat in the truck for nearly 20 hours. Of course, I didn’t have to drive since I’m a dog, but that was too much napping even for a lazy dog like me! Luckily, we stopped at a nice hotel along the way so I could stretch my legs and relax better.

Then, after two whole days we finally made it to our new house. Right away, it felt like home to me. I got to run around in my yard and curl up next to the window. It’s everything a dog could dream of. The neighbor dogs seem nice, but there’s one Goldendoodle that I always have a urge to bark at!

There have been a lot of new changes at this house. New car, new couch, new toys, but it’s all for the best. Taco is still just as clingy as usual, but I feel relaxed. I haven’t even been barking and whining when I’m left alone. So, while the trip was long, I’m glad to be here. I think this house is the perfect place for me and my family.
