Operation Paws for Homes (OPH) is a volunteer-powered organization that is different than your typical shelter or rescue. Molly occasionally volunteers to write dog bios for them to help the dogs find homes sooner. She’s personally seen what an amazing and kind group of humans they are!
This organization doesn’t have one physical location. Instead, they have foster homes throughout multiple states. They provide adoption services to families in Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania, and some neighboring states.
OPH is devoted to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs that have had rough lives. They primarily rescue dogs from overcrowded shelters in the southern states. This amazing rescue is determined to give a second chance to all these dogs that were overlooked at their previous shelters.

The main goal of this organization is to find a loving home for every dog. Some dogs are with them much longer than others, but they always care for them as long as needed. They will do whatever it takes to make sure each dog finds the home they deserve.
Thanks to all the amazing volunteers with OPH, over a thousand dogs each year find their forever home. If they hadn’t been rescued by OPH, they might not even be alive today. So, it’s incredible to see people helping so many dogs simply out of the kindness of their hearts.
If you would like to see the adoptable dogs or donate to this incredible organization, please visit their website for more information! Help them create a better world for rescue dogs!
