Hi, my name is Lambeau! I am a mix between a Great Dane and a Rhodesian Ridgeback, so I am a big dog that is tall enough to reach the counter! My parents never expected to adopt such a large dog, but they fell in love with me right away.
I was rescued from the Waupaca Humane Society, but I was originally bred by a farmer who was charging $800 for me. Since I was an unusual mixed breed, no one was willing to pay that much for me, so I was left outside in a concrete pen.

My parents originally came to the humane society to see some Blue Heeler mix puppies, but when they saw me, they knew it was meant to be!
The first seven months of my life were not great, so I was relieved to be adopted by such a loving family. At first, I was very skinny, my paws were raw, and I was scared around new people, especially men.
It took me about two weeks to warm up to my new parents, but now I couldn’t be closer to them! I love to curl up on the couch with them. Plus, they give me lots of toys and bones to play with. They knew my life had been hard at first, so they wanted to do everything they could to help me adjust.
I’m still not a fan of being left alone, but that’s because being around them just makes me so happy! My parents had to be very patient with me, but in the end, it really paid off. I am so lucky to have been rescued by such an amazing family! They changed my life for the better!
